A lot of people live a life that is full of misery. Many are rich and wealthy. Some are even very influential yet there is this feeling of emptiness within them they feel so empty and sad.

The question is that how can one command so great wealth and power and yet be living in misery? What happens that we are all fashioned to fulfill a purpose and until you are fulfilling that purpose you find no joy.

The only secret to joy and happiness is to first of all find your purpose. Then the next part is to fulfill the purpose.

You’ll never begin to know the joy of life until you begin to fulfill your purpose for living.

What is Valentine to you?

Valentine is here again and a lot of people are preparing sending cards, e-cards and many more (As for me it is my one year wedding anniversary). The question is that do we have to wait for valentine before we remember those we love? Must it be at specific season? Many people never get the true essence of what true love is all about. People have so many views of what love should be but every living person should understand one thing- we are all created t love. What I mean is that you are made to love.

Our life is not complete except we love. Now let me ask you. Have you ever given to someone in need? Have you ever been involved in a rescue operation? How did you feel after you finished? Though hectic you felt fulfilled, happy and as if there it should not stop. What about the passion with which you did it? This tells you that you that you were originally cut out for such. Now imagine another time when you had to give your last penny to someone in a dire need, how did you feel? Though not convenient but rather than feeling unhappy, you felt so happy.

Life is not about what you get but what you give. As the true proverb goes, it is more blessed to give than to receive. You may be wandering what do you give? Giving needs not be physical. The time you take to visit the sick one out there, the listening ear you give to hurting heart. The words of encouragement you give to those who are discouraged. These are all forms of giving. These are things you can do everyday. You don’t have to wait until it is Valentine.

Make everyday a valentine day by learning to give out to some out there. Make each day count. Always think of how you can add value to some life out there. Make it a principle that you won’t let a day pass without adding value someone’s life and I tell you that you will be among the happiest people in life

My future

Your future is as you want it to be. Follow the ABC of a great future is achieve, believe and concieve.

In actual reality the process is arranged from behind i.e Concieve believe and achieve. For you to achieve anything in life the following process:

One you must first concieve it in your mind. You must first have a picture of what it is that you want to be a doctor, teacher, musician or whatever it is that you want to be in life. You must have a vision, a purpose a goal. It must be very clear. You must be clear about what you want to achieve in life without this you may not really get to achieve what you want in life.

Second you have to believe. You must believe in yourself. You must believe in your vision. you must believe that you can achieve it. Whatever you believe wih feeling becomes your self-fulfilling prophecy. You must have faith in yourself and in in your ability else you’ll get no where in achieving your goals.

Now after you conceived and believed you must decide and determine to get to your goal. You must keep on looking for ways to achieve your. Like the popular saying “you must aspire to achieve what you desire” Now if you seem to tire you must refire to acquire what you desire.

My desire is that after reading this post you’ll wake up and get to work and I wish you success

CLARITY OF PURPOSE

A vague purpose is as useless as an unknown purpose. Anyone who has not discovered a clear purpose of what he wants to be or do in life is the same as a mad man who is on the street for a purposeless life is useless to our society, our country and the entire world. Seeing the importance of a purpose and clarity of it, it is therefore pertinent to find a purpose for living. What then is Your Purpose? Your purpose is what you were created to do, what you were designed for. You don’t ask what a fish is for neither do you ask what a car is for. You can’t accuse a car for not being able to fly. Why? Because it was not made for that. This is also the reason why you must discover you purpose. Find out a clear purpose for your life. Your purpose is hidden in your talents, abilities, likes and dislikes, your passion and your desires are all given to you for the purpose of fulfilling your life ultimate goal. So when you see yourself tend towards a particular desire then understand that your purpose is not far from that. Your purpose will always be in congruent with the things that you are passionate about. It is always therefore then very necessary that you don’t throw you passi

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FAILURE

“There is no such thing as failure, only result”. When I first came across this statement I was baffled and I disagreed only after a deep thought did I fully understood what it meant. Whatever you do in life you get results, whether right or wrong. Now whatever the results we get we can change it by doing the right thing. This attitude was reflective in the life of Thomas Edison who after he has tried an experience and could not get was told that he failed five thousand times his answer was “We have only learnt five thousand ways in which it will not work”.

We are always getting result. The successful people in our community are not those who do not fail, but are people who know that whatever they try and does give them the right result they’ve got a learning experience. The such experience to try something else. If you’re afraid of failure then you need to reprogram your mind and see every failure as an opportunity to learn. You must learn a lesson and refuse to attach negative emotion to something that does not work. now lets look at the life of a man that should be tagged a failure

Failed in business at age 21.
Was defeated in a legislative race at age 22.
Failed again in business at age 24.
Overcame the death of a sweetheart at age 26.
Had a nervous breakdown at age 27.
Lost a congressional race age 34.
Lost a congressional race age 36.
Lost senatorial race at age 45.
Failed in effort to become vice-president at age 47.
Lost senatorial race at age 49.
Was elected president of the United States at age 52.

You already guessed who this man is. Abraham Lincoln. Great men, women, leaders all understand that if you try something and do not get the right outcome it simply feedback. It simply means you are not doing something right and that you have to change your approach. Most of us allow every error, mistake to reflect badly in us we feel it is failure and we can’t make it right. Have you been involved in a failed relationship lately or overweight it is not the state you are that currently matters. What matters is your attitude towards your situation. In the words of J. C. Maxwell “ it is not what happens to you that matters but what happens in you” how true is that statement it is the interpretation you give to what happens to you that really matters not. But how you perceive what happens that’s important. Our perception. You’ll find two different people with the same experience but different perception you find the one with positive experience come out better than the other.

For one to be free from failure you must:

Remove The You From The Failure. What this means is that you don’t personalize the failure. You should always dissociate yourself from the failure. One great difference successful people make is the ability t detach themselves from failure. We must make failure an experience and that is what it should be. A Spanish proverbs say if you house is burning go to the top and warm yourself. What a great advice

Commit Yourself to Learn: You must yourself to learning. Learning from every experience you find yourself. Make life learning process and sure you’ll make it in life. Those who have made it have the same habit. Make a conscious effort to continue learning from whatever experience in your life. Learn from you failures your mistakes. You should also learn from other people’s failure and success.

Take Responsibility: There is no greater secret to overcome your failures than to take responsibility. Unsuccessful people have the habit of blaming others for their misfortunes and predicament if your really want to be successful, your must take responsibility and forge ahead.

Develop Resilience: Resilience is an attribute we all must have if we must be successful. As I said earlier successful people are not those do not fail at all. But I’ll to tell you that research made found out that successful people fail more than other. The only difference they have is they were willing to learn from their failures, take responsibility and forge ahead.
We must consciously strive to eliminate all limiting beliefs that will always want to try to take control of your life. Remove that negative thoughts from within you and do all you can to move ahead despite your failures. The only who can make you a failure in life is you. So do all you can and stop that failure mentality and sure enough you’ll succeed.

Wish you success.

POWER OF A PURPOSE-DRIVEN LIFE

Many people are driven by a lot of things in this life. Whatever is the driving force of your life is what controls your thought and thus the controller of all your actions. What drives you is said to be your motivator, your driving force, your reason for doing a thing and as said your purpose for doing it. A lot of people have different reasons why they what they do. While others don’t know why they do what they do. Such are miserable people who are victims of whatever circumstances they find themselves. But whatever it may be, everyone does something for a reason whether they know it or not. This is the driving force of their life.

What is your Driving Force?

Let us examine why some people do what they do. One many people are driven by the need for recognition and approval. These set people want the approval of children, spouses, friends, relative, parents and employers such people driven by what people will say about them. They are slaves to the feeling and opinion of others. Such people never amount much in their lives. The most unfortunate thing is that those who follow the crowd get lost in it. One key to failure is trying to please everyone. Now check your life, are you trying to please everyone? Secondly, people are driven by fear. Have you seen adult that have phobias? They fear sickness, death, failure name it I have even seen those that fear water they say they are hydrophobic. These fears are as a result of traumatic experiences, unrealistic expectations or growing in a high control home whatever may be the reason for their fear they lose greatly. They fear the future and are not able to take risk such people keep themselves in a self-impose prison. Thirdly, others are driven by negative emotions these may be emotions of resentment, anger or guilt. Have ever people that are kept in bondage for guilt of what happen to them in the past. I had a female friend who had an experience and for about ten years she was kept in a bondage of guilt. When I met her I told to just throw that away and learn to forgive herself and that was how she made free of her self-imposed bondage which had made her a patient of hyper-thyroxin for over ten years. Lastly, this is the most common of all, Materialism. If there is anything that is killing our world today it is the need to get money and the materials. This is based on the false assumption that money solves all problems. But this is false as most rich people are bedeviled by one problem or the other. The happiest people in life are those who are driven by a purpose.

Benefits of A Purpose Driven Life

A life driven by purpose is the best life to live. Now before going I will like to ask you a question. Who will you like to be? A Millionaire or Missionary. A Bill Gate or one, it simplifies our life, what greater joy we have knowing why we are here it helps us focus on the main thing and discard the nonessentials. Secondly, it gives us focus when you know you purpose in life you get to focus all your ability on it and guess what, you’ll succeed. Knowing your purpose motivates you, no other driving force is known than this. Lastly knowing your purpose gives your life a meaning, when you know your purpose you have a real sense for living which eventually gives you fulfillment.
. Now get me right I am not trying to say that being rich is not good. What I am trying too prove is that those who live a purpose driven life are much more concerned on their contribution rather than what they get from life.

Happiness: The greatest benefit of a purpose driven life is happiness. Have you seen those who are the happiest people on earth? They are those who are more concerned about giving rather than getting. I give you a test. Anytime you feel you are unhappy or feel unfulfilled? Go over the street and give something. You find yourself happy. Giving is the secret of happiness.

Motivation: A lot have been going about this motivation stuff. The greatest way to be motivated is to find your purpose for living. This is the greatest of all motivators. This is what will make a David Livingstone abandon all he had to become a missionary in Africa. These is what pushes a mother Theresa and what will a man like Martin Luther King Jr. be willing to die for a course he believes in today we see what course produced for us. If you ever want to be motivated then find what your reason for living is.

Focus: Do you ever see people that stand on a thing for a long time. These are those who are purpose-driven. A man driven by a purpose is a man of one goal, vision, determination, passion and fulfillment. Without a clear purpose for life you keep changing jobs, spouse, relationships and direction. You don’t have the time to keep trying this and that. Finding your purpose keeps your life on a right track. Rick Warren in his book purpose driven says “nothing is quite potent as focused life. One lived on purpose.

Meaning and Fulfillment: If you ever want to be fulfilled then live a life of purpose. Find your purpose and I tell you, you’ll find the greatest satisfaction.
The greatest tragedy they say is not death but a life without purpose.

My aim of writing this post is to help you find the reason why you must discover your purpose for life. Now here are some questions for you.
Do you know why you are on earth?
Have you known your purpose for living?
If you have found your purpose, have started fulfilling it?

Many people are driven by a lot of things in this life. Whatever is the driving force of your life is what controls your thought and thus the controller of all your actions. What drives you is said to be your motivator, your driving force, your reason for doing a thing and as said your purpose for doing it. A lot of people have different reasons why they what they do. What is Your Purpose in Life?

If you were to be asked this question what will your answer be? Mind you whatever you say will determine how you live your life. It will affect your relationships, social interactions and infact what you do in life. I find out that 95% of the people that live on the face of the earth don’t know their purpose on earth. Are you one of the 95% or the few 5%? I know what will be going on in your mind. Ops! You may say I know why I am living here, it is to do em.. em.. what? I can’t remember. Let’s be sincere why do you think you are here? This question I will try to answer right here. You might not have known yours but after reading this you’ll at least get a footing. If you among the few that know theirs will you may want to also know how far you’ve gone in fulfilling it.

Far back as 2003 I went through a series of thought in my life that brought me to the conclusion that I won’t just exist but live for a definite divine purpose. Thank God I did. Today I’m happy fulfilling my purpose for life and I am just beginning by the time I live the earth I want people to be happy coming in contact with me physically or through my writings.

How do you imagine a world without light, automobile, airplanes, telephones, cell phones, internet, medical and surgical equipment and all the electrical/electronic devices and equipment we see all around. This all exist because someone dared to fulfill his purpose in life. Now imagine if they failed to fulfill their purpose, see what the world will be suffering today. Imagine a world without electricity. You may not get the picture of what  I am talking about if you stay in Los Angeles or London. Those in Africa will really understand what I am talking about.

Sometimes we sit alone wondering what life is all about. Is there anything more to this or do we have a higher purpose. I’ll want you to know that there is more to your life than what you actually see. Life has a greater meaning than what we really see. Nothing hurts me more than see people living aimlessly without focus. While others struggle to get what others are getting. They die without really knowing why they are here.

Knowing your purpose does a lot of thing to us one, it simplifies our life, what greater joy we have knowing why we are here it helps us focus on the main thing and discard the nonessentials.

Having seen the importance of finding your purpose in life, how then do I discover my purpose? It is good to know what your purpose is. Your purpose in life is not the job you do. Your purpose is not your name, it is neither your goals. We must all get the fact that we are all here to fulfill a mission whatever it may be we must strive to find out what it is and fulfill it.

Your purpose in life is composite. I’ll explain what I mean. Your purpose in life must fulfill the following criteria before you can really be sure it is. One your purpose in life must involve serving others. Two, your purpose in life must be bigger than you, if the purpose in life is what you can just do easily, then find out you might not have found your purpose. Your purpose should also involve others, what I mean is relationships. It must involve working with others. Lastly it must honour The Supreme one, we are not just here for ourselves there is a higher power that sent us here. The earlier we accept the better it is for us. We must understand the reason why he sent us here ad strive to fulfill it

Knowing these how do we then find our purpose for life. Many people have said many things about how to find your purpose in life. The easiest of all is the one I found at Steve Pavlina’s blog,  though this was not how I got to find my purpose  but sure it works. Here is what to do:

  1. Take out a blank sheet of paper or open up a word processor where you can type (I prefer the latter because it’s faster).
  2. Write at the top, “What is my true purpose in life?”
  3. Write an answer (any answer) that pops into your head. It doesn’t have to be a complete sentence. A short phrase is fine.
  4. Repeat step 3 until you write the answer that makes you cry. This is your purpose.

That’s it. It doesn’t matter if you’re a teacher or an doctor or a footballer. To some  this exercise may make perfect sense. To others it will seem utterly stupid. Usually it takes 15-20 minutes to clear your head of all the clutter and the social conditioning about what you think your purpose in life is. The false answers will come from your mind and your memories. But when the true answer finally arrives, it will feel like it’s coming to you from a different source entirely. It will give you the answer you though it seem easy but I tell you it surely works.

For those who are very entrenched in low-awareness living, it will take a lot longer to get all the false answers out, possibly more than an hour. But if you persist, after 100 or 200 or maybe even 500 answers, you’ll be struck by the answer that causes you to surge with emotion, the answer that breaks you. If you’ve never done this, it may very well sound silly to you. So let it seem silly, and do it anyway.

As you go through this process, some of your answers will be very similar. . You can list whatever answer pops into your head as long as you just keep writing. You might find similar answers just keep writing.

At some point during the process (typically after about 50-100 answers), you may want to quit and just can’t see it converging. You may feel the urge to get up and make an excuse to do something else. That’s normal. Push past this resistance, and just keep writing. The feeling of resistance will eventually pass. After you’ve gone through the process you’ll find your purpose when you feel energy flowing out of you as you write. You’ll find that it will also fulfill the criteria I listed above

.

Now that you’ve done this and probably gotten your purpose what next? You strive to fulfill it. I shall be talking about it in subsequent post.

So be free to comment on about your findings or your objections.

Wish you success.
